Curious about new construction going on around the farm? Here’s the place to learn what we’re up to and who has been helping us!
Historic Soule Home
We are getting started to restore the old 1850s historic Soule home. With generous donations from the Cultural Preservation Committee, Pierce Trustees grant, and private donors in 2023, we are starting to get to work on the exterior of the old house focusing in phase one on the West side of the building with reshingling the home, repainting and repairing windows.
Additional funds and donations have been secured to help with replacing gutters, tearing out and adding a new porch to the lower residence.
We can’t do these projects alone. We have had a number of very generous donations of materials, time & labor from the following businesses and community members. We are also working with small businesses to get the work done in the many facets that go into a project of this scale.
Johnson Paint in Middleborough donated paint for the exterior trim of the farmhouse as well as the for interior trim and wall paint for the East Classroom projects.
Labor for parts of this project was donated by Demers Construction Company.
The painting of windows and trim on this project is being done by Brian Hilles of Handyman Hilles.
