2025 Workshops

Jan 18th, 2025 – Rug Braiding Workshop

Workshop Time: Runs typically every 3rd Saturday, at 10:30am – 1:30pm (check dates below)
Workshop Fee: $30 for new member students & $40 for new non-members for each of first 2 classes, and then $15 for returning members, $25 returning for non-members
Workshop Location: East Classroom
Pre-registration is now required. We need a minimum of 6 attendees to run the class. Registration closes Wednesday before the workshop.

Join our rug braiding workshop with instructor Mary Guidoboni. Discover this uniquely American art form. All levels are welcome. Students returning from past sessions may bring unfinished projects to work on. Everyone should bring scissors, needles, thread, and wool (available for new students.) Wool available to purchase here. The instructor has requested a minimum of 6 students to run the class, so registration in advance is required. Thank you for understanding.

Jan 25, 2025 – Embroidery Workshop

Workshop time: 10am – 11:30am
Workshop Price: $25 members, $35 non-members

Join Embroidered Events for a fun and cozy workshop where attendees will make their own personalized embroidered sweaters. In this workshop you will learn the basics of designing and creating your very own embroidered sweater just in time for fall and to start on holiday gifts for everyone you know! Imagine this level of cuteness for the whole family. Attendees will need to bring their own knit sweater to the workshop – any size is great. Other materials (yarn, needles, and water soluble ink pen) will be provided by the instructor and students can take home.

Feb 1, 2025 – Pottery Workshop: Plaques & Trivets

Workshop Date: February 1, 2025
Workshop Time: 10am – noon

Come explore the world of pottery by creating a plaque to adorn your residence or a beautiful trivet to protect surfaces in your home with local potter, Dave Kraemer of Dave’s Pottery. During this 2 hour workshop, students will learn techniques for rolling out clay slabs, carving, stamping, and utilizing underglaze. The instructor will apply clear glaze and fire in his kiln. Projects will then be picked up at a later date. Dress for mess and all materials will be provided. Come create and have fun!! Workshop is suitable for children age 10+ but must be accompanied by an adult. Space is extremely limited so do not delay in registering.

Feb 22, 2025 – Winter Sowing Workshop

Workshop time: 10am – 11am
Workshop Price: $20 members, $30 non-members
Material Fee: $4
Workshop Location: West Classroom

This workshop will teach you how to get a jump start on your seedlings with this innovative greenhouse workshop taught by local home gardener Stefanie Schori of @grown_in_newengland. Each participant will learn how to start seeds using the milk jug method. Seeds, soil, and your first milk jug will be provided with this workshop as well as how-to information, tips, and tricks for being successful. If you have specific seeds you’re interested in starting early, bring them with you and Stefanie will tell you if they can be used for this method. This workshop will be held in the West Classroom.

Dec 6th & 9th, 2025 – Wreath Workshops

Because of the popularity of this workshop we have made this open to MEMBERS ONLY until November 15th. On that date all wreath workshops will be opened up to the general public. If you are not a member, become one today and help support our non-profit and get a discount on this and other events/workshops at Soule for a whole year.
