The Soule Homestead Education Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that relies on the support of its members and volunteers. When you become a member at Soule Homestead Education Center you are helping to support our nonprofit organization.

We appreciate your support!

  • SHEC Members enjoy discounts on almost all programming at the farm including programs, events, festivals and fairs, workshops, educational programs and more.
  • Members also get early access to sign up for our most popular workshops at the farm, our community garden, our coveted annual plant sale, and family memberships get discounts on camp registration.
  • Lastly, members are also invited to attend our annual meeting and invited to serve on our Board of Directors.
    • We love when people are interested in becoming Board Members at Soule Homestead. If you think you might be interested, here is a bit of info to get you started: The Board strongly encourages you to lend a hand (it can be a big or small effort, all help is appreciated and welcomed at Soule), because all of our board members start as volunteers at the farm.  The Board values when people have a sense of how Soule functions a bit more before taking on greater Board responsibilities. Board Members are also required to be members of Soule Homestead in good standing. (Again, this goes back to the idea of having people who are invested in the mission and purpose of our work here. We are looking for board members to help carry out that mission.)  If this is something you might be interested in find our Volunteer tab above which has a bit more info about volunteering.

The farm is open almost 365 days a year as a green space where the community is free to come, explore, and enjoy our space. It’s a place where families come and spend time together, children play, people socialize, walk our trails, say hello to our animals, or even to come and enjoy the quiet moments with a warm cup of coffee in our rocking chairs on the front porch. We only close the farm when we have paid events and we limit group visits during fieldtrip season as we are utilizing many spaces in the immediate farm area.

Your membership to SHEC helps us to support this wonderful space farm and the programming that we run here.

Joining is easy!

Donating to Soule Homestead Education Center

There are THREE great ways to donate to Soule:

1. Donating online goes directly to supporting the farm and out programming here.

Donate to Soule Homestead

2. Volunteering is also a great way to help Soule! Did you know that we only have 2 paid positions at the farm? Everyone else is a volunteer! Whether it’s assisting a field trip, parking cars at an event, running food at our Farm to Table Dinner, or helping with our garden plots, there’s always something that needs to be done on the property. You can learn more about volunteering at our Volunteer Page or email our volunteer coordinator at volunteer@soulehomeatead.org for more info.

3. Program Support: Check out some of our Amazon Wishlists to help support programming at Soule.

Physical Donations: At this time, Soule Homestead Education Center can no longer accept household items or textiles as donations. While we appreciate people’s intentions, because of our small staff, we just don’t have the resources to repurpose these things. We suggest taking them directly to Savers.

Thank you for supporting the Soule Homestead!
