Workshop or Educational Programs at Soule
Thank you so much for your interest in teaching a workshop at Soule Homestead Education Center. As a small non-profit organization we are so pleased you are able to teach a workshop for us and we know our members and community will be excited for your class.
We currently start at $25 an hour for the workshops taught here at Soule. We are always happy to provide you with a letter that states your donation for your time as an instructor here for tax purposes for a reduction in your traditional hourly fee. As a way to help further support you and your work, we will always include your business website and social media handles on our website with the workshop info as well as on our Facebook and Instagram event page in order to drive traffic to your business. Additionally, after your workshop is complete, we will send it again directly to our workshop attendees after your class as a way to help give them your information directly.
- Please let us know about how long you expect your workshop will need to run.
- We would like to know what the projected material costs per attendee for the workshop you plan to host in advance of the workshop so we can work out the costs.
- Can you help us to establish a reasonable fee to collect for a workshop of this kind?
- We typically like to collaborate on the written portion we use to advertise this class – some artists undersell their awesomeness. We can do this in written form (like a google doc) or we can ask you questions and write up a program blurb for your approval. We want to highlight the skills you have and bring to a workshop!
Please know that we do require a minimum number of attendees in order to run workshops in order to cover operational costs. This number varies.
Here is our current workshop cancellation and student refund policy:
Soule Homestead Workshop Cancellations: Each workshop must have a minimum number of students in order to run. If Soule finds it necessary to cancel a workshop, we will notify students one week prior to the scheduled workshop start date or as soon as we are able in unforeseen circumstances. The option to move to an open time for the same workshop will be offered or full refund can be provided to registered students. We will always try and reschedule an event if necessary when possible.
Student Workshop Refunds: Student cancellations must be made at least 72 hours (3 days) prior to the start date of a workshop, unless otherwise indicated in the workshop listing, in order to receive a refund.
