April 19, 2025 – Rug Braiding Workshop

- Workshop Time: Runs typically every 3rd Saturday, at 10:30am – 1:30pm (check dates below)
- Workshop Fee: $40 Adults for each of first 2 classes, and then $17.25 for Returning Workshop Students
- Members get a 15% discount on all workshops.
- Workshop Location: East Classroom
- Pre-registration is now required. We need a minimum of 6 attendees to run the class. Registration closes Wednesday before the workshop.
Join our rug braiding workshop with instructor Mary Guidoboni. Discover this uniquely American art form. All levels are welcome. Students returning from past sessions may bring unfinished projects to work on. Everyone should bring scissors, needles, thread, and wool (available for new students.) Wool available to purchase here. The instructor has requested a minimum of 6 students to run the class, so registration in advance is required. Thank you for understanding.

April 26th – Intro to Organic Gardening Workshop

- Workshop time: 10am – 12:30pm
- Workshop price: $30 Adults

This program is geared towards beginners, but all skill levels are welcome to join. This participatory workshop will include classroom time learning organic strategies for small-scale gardens. Discussing topics such as: planning your garden, seed selection, soil health, planting methods, succession planting, and upkeep. Participants will move outside (weather permitting) for the hands-on portion of the program. Garden bed preparation and seeding info will also be included. Extended time will be given for participants to ask questions and share experiences. Wear shoes and clothing that could potentially get muddy.

May 3 – Outdoor Beekeeping Workshop

Join us on for our Outdoor Beekeeping Workshop. As a follow-up to our Intro to Beekeeping Workshop in February, our onsite beekeeper, Kevin O’Donnell of Kevin’s Honey Farm, will lead you through the basics of Beekeeping, including an outdoor beehive demonstration, in this 2 hour workshop. This program is geared towards beginners, but all skill levels are welcome to join. This workshop will held in the Community Garden.

May 31, 2025 – Step Basket Weaving Workshop

- Workshop time: 10am – 1pm
- Workshop price: $65 non-member

- Pre-registration Required
This workshop will introduce beginners to basic basket weaving. With guidance from local weaver, Leanne Wilkie of Baskets of Love, each participant will complete and keep their own step basket. Multiple weaving techniques will be taught in this 3 hour class at the farm. All materials will be provided. Come join us for a day of fun and creativity. All skill levels are welcome to join. Multiple packages of materials are available for purchase if you wish to make more than one basket at home after the class.

Because of the popularity of this workshop we have made this open to MEMBERS ONLY until November 15th. On that date all wreath workshops will be opened up to the general public.
