SHEC’s Community Garden offers members a great place to grow organic vegetables. With abundant sunlight, fertile soil, and access to compost and water, thousands of pounds of food have come from the plots over the last 20+ years.
2026 Garden Plot prices:
$50 10×20 ft
$35 10×10 ft
– Rain barrels rentals are available but are on a first come first serve basis – no fee this year.
Each community gardener is asked to come up with a name for their community garden plot – no matter the size. We think that adding a personal touch is fun AND helps for the community to know that these spaces belong to people and are not to be entered. We’ll give you a painted board, you get to let your creativity soar! If you would like to have a volunteer paint it for you just let us know. We have eager teens to who love to help.
About Plots:
– Plot rentals are non-transferable.
– Gardeners are expected to be members of Soule Homestead and in good standing.
– Soule Homestead does offer spots on a sliding scale payment for those families in need. If you are a family who needs help paying for your community garden, please contact: director@soulehomestead.org
If you are interested in a Community Garden Plot, please sign up at the link below. Sign ups are on a a first come first serve basis. Anyone who signs up must be a member of Soule Homestead (join today!). Community Garden plots are limited as many gardeners return year after year.
How it works: We ask that new gardeners sign up for a spot so that we can show you what we have available. We will then set up a meeting time to be shown our available spots and then send you a link to secure your spot. No garden spots are secured until gardeners have registered for their plots.
